finally i've decided to settle my accommodation spot in korea. [yea, long days to go yet]
I've chosen,GOSHIWON! *jumps around with michelle*
okay,what is a Goshiwon?
Goshiwon can be translated to 高试院.
Goshiwon is a hostel,
a very tiny restricted space of room,[mostly 8fts x 8fts]
this Goshiwon is available for those korean students who need a quiet and private space to prepare their exams.
See,how interesting is that?
Students who live far away from their school/uni would come to this goshiwon,
rent a small room months before their final exam etc,
fully concentrated in this small room and live at their ownselves.
Goshiwon is usually equipped with a bed,a tv,a fridge[add ons],a study table,a chair,fire safety,internet connection[add ons],and if u pay for a higher rate,u'll get a room with nice big window + toilet in room.
The more equipments u have in ur room, the higher price u have to pay, vise versa.
If u need a cheaper deal,
then u'll have to go for single person room without toilet,
u can just use shared bathroom at ur room level,
a shared kitchen/dining area with free rice, ramen, cooking ingredients provided.
If u don't have a laptop,u can just use the computer w/ free internet in the comp room.
U can use the washing machine or any machinery things u can find there.
Why would i choose a tiny compact room instead of nice comfy motel/hotel?
Simple,the expense cost causes it.
i have to pay around 700bucks for one month rental, rather than 70bucks per night in motel.
But if i can find a cheaper motel in the town,i don't mind moving over there.
But when i think in another way,
goshiwon is a place where mostly filled up by youngster/students who are having their personal private time over there,
why not i just stay there and get to know more young fella there??
and i think they're the bunch who can communicate better in english [compared to those ahjumma/ahjusshi]
right?
who knows,maybe i can find my charming prince there.kkkkk... [michelle : = =''']
sure lotsa dramatic/funny stories will go around there,
omo,i get very excited while thinking about things to come.
Goshiwons are usually located nearby some uni/high schools,
convenience stores,markets,sauna,
busy towns,
so everything is reachable there.
Thinking of getting deeper into their korean cultural life,
i think,
this decision cannot be a mistake. =)

ya omo,
i'm blogging during working hours. =P
